How do tracking pixels work in our emails?
At happn, we want to send you useful emails that meet your expectations. To help us improve our communications, some of our emails use tracking pixels.
What is a tracking pixel?
A tracking pixel is a small technical component embedded in an email. When you open an email or click on a link within it, this pixel allows us to collect certain information about that interaction.
What information is collected?

the date and time it was opened;
whether a link within the email was clicked;

We never collect the content of your emails or any information from your inbox.

How long do we keep this information?
Data collected via tracking pixels is kept for 2 years. Proof of your consent, refusal, or changes to your preferences is stored for 5 years.

The data controller for this processing is happn. To send our emails and manage your preferences, we work with technical service providers acting on our behalf, including:
Email service provider: Braze
Consent management platform: Didomi
These providers process your data strictly according to our instructions.
