Because place matters, too. Dating isn’t just about who. It’s also about where. And for queer people, that “where” can shape the whole experience.

Because place matters, too. Dating isn’t just about who. It’s also about where. And for queer people, that “where” can shape the whole experience.

A quiet café with a gentle vibe. A bookstore with queer authors on the shelves. A park where you feel like you can just be. These aren’t just places — they’re environments that invite connection.

Find spaces that feel right for you

This week, we’re highlighting places across Norway that are loved for their openness, their atmosphere, or their role in the LGBTQIA+ community. They’ve made room for people to show up just as they are.

Whether you're into drag shows, cosy pubs, sweaty dancefloors or chilled conversations over øl or coffee, you’ll find something worth trying.

Queer-friendly places in your city

Oslo

🇬🇧 London Pub
Oslo’s oldest gay bar and still one of its best-known. Since 1979, it’s been a safe haven for generations — part pub, part club, with karaoke nights, DJs and a warm crowd in the heart of the city.

💃🏽 Elsker
A classic spot on the queer map of Oslo. Drag shows, dance floors, and all kinds of themed events — Elsker (“to love”) is loud, playful, and proudly welcoming.

Bergen

🎧 Fincken
Bergen’s only dedicated queer bar, and a staple since the early ‘90s. Upstairs, you’ll find the dancefloor. Downstairs, a bar for chats and flirting. Small, but full of heart.

Trondheim

🪩 Tyven
A vibrant local favorite mixing art, music and parties. Tyven isn’t an LGBTQ-only venue, but it has long been celebrated for its inclusive spirit and queer-friendly atmosphere. A good choice for a night that starts slow and ends late.

One last thing

You don’t have to shrink, decode, or apologise when you date.
You deserve places that don’t question your presence.
Go where you feel good. That’s already a win.

Thanks for being part of our Pride 2025 series. We see you. We celebrate you.
