From 20 to 22 November, Tattoo Week takes over Expo Center Norte for what it calls the world's largest tattoo event. Alongside work by leading tattoo artists, the programme includes shows by Fresno, Dead Fish, Matuê and other acts. It is the kind of gathering where everyone has something to show, even if they have not yet worked up the courage for a tattoo or found the design that feels right. With so many styles, references and characters marked on skin, there is no shortage of conversation starters. Three festival days also leave enough time for a very carefully considered impulsive decision. You might leave with a new tattoo, or another kind of memory that proves difficult to erase.
