No DMs, no awkward opening lines. On Thursday 19 November, from 7 PM to 11 PM (free entry), Shoot Your Shot at Café Jacob in Amsterdam Oud-West takes the first step offline. happn Polaroid photographers will be circulating around the bar all evening. Order a drink, keep your phone in your pocket and look around. Spotted someone you would like to meet? Have a Polaroid taken, write your phone number on it and ask for it to be delivered to your Crush. Simple, spontaneous and a little more exciting than sending a message. The idea draws on Amsterdam's nightlife Polaroid tradition, which dates back to 1980: an old-school way to capture a night, with a modern dating twist.
