On this corner of Lourdes, BH meets Asia in the kitchen. At the little tables scattered across the dining room and the pavement, you'll find people up for discovering flavours still uncommon in the mineira capital. From futomaki (oversized sushi) to bao, steamed buns filled with cheese and kimchi (fermented napa cabbage), the recipes draw on Japan, the Philippines, China, Korea and beyond. To drink, the sake selection is one of a kind in the city. The Japanese rice spirit pairs with the house dishes and gives something to talk about to anyone who's never ventured past the classic sushi combo.

Neither of us had tried sake before.
We were both staring at the sake list like it was an exam. The waiter suggested we pick one to share so no one had to decide alone. We did. We were still there two hours later, ordering a second.
