Nouvel Orage is barely two years old and already has a clear position: no headliners, no safety net. The second edition runs from April 16 to 25 across several Nantes venues, Stereolux, Le Ferrailleur, La Barakason, Portevent, each with its own atmosphere and capacity. On the bill: Arone, Dakeez, TH, Bonne Nuit, Folie's and more names still to be announced. What these artists share is a hybrid territory and genres that resist easy categorisation. Rap that bleeds into soul, electronic that slides into rock, pop that takes unexpected turns. The people who show up here have ears trained to listen to what doesn't sound like anything yet, and that creates a fairly specific community. You end up among people who know the same obscure names, which tends to be the best place to discover new ones.
