Kouss·Kouss is in its ninth year, spread across nearly 290 addresses in Marseille, and this year it's built around herbs and aromatics. The part worth clearing your evening for is the 'en partage' strand: free popular meals that move from one neighbourhood to the next, with live music and a DJ set, open to anyone, no ticket. The opening is on Friday August 21st from 7pm on place Jean-Jaurès, cooked by the Grandes Tables team with the festival's brigade. The dispositif is the whole thing: you don't come to watch something, you come to sit down next to someone and eat the same thing they're eating. And the queue puts everyone on the same footing — nobody has a better seat.
