On 26 and 27 August, Cine Lido comes back into view as a music venue, and goes straight for the heart. With Caetano Veloso and Marisa Monte, the old street cinema reopens restored, minus the big screen but with live music, low lighting, a stage that is close by and that lovely feeling of watching a new city classic being born. Caetano opens the musical chapter on the 26th; Marisa takes the 27th with a back catalogue that has plenty of people singing along while trying, without much success, to look discreet. It is the kind of night where the address already has a history, the stage already has a soundtrack, and any conversation in the queue could pass for the start of a film.
