Caserne B
happners' hot spots
Caserne B took over the old Benauge fire station and its engine garage: 70s furniture, red-and-orange tones, a fire truck still parked in the decor. A food court with sharing plates (focaccias, pinsas, boards), craft beers and local wines, plus a cultural and musical programme from Wednesday to Saturday, DJ sets, live concerts, the occasional makers' market. There's a shaded garden out back and a view over the quays. The kind of place where you turn up on your own and end up sharing your board with the next table.

We ended up sharing a board with the next table.
I came with a friend, we ordered too much, and the two people beside us were eyeing our pinsa. We offered them a slice, they offered us their wine. By the DJ set we'd merged the two tables. That's just how the place works.
