Bibie

You have to cross the courtyard. That alone does the sorting. Bibie settled under the glass roof of Le Jardin de Verre by Locke, inside a listed 18th-century mansion. A 900m² atrium, natural light all day, and a table that runs from morning coffee to the last round. Chef Loïc Julliand works with hand-sourced organic producers and short supply chains. The wine list leans natural. Cocktails have personality. What makes something happen here is that the people who push this door looked for the address. They eat with an opinion. They have views on wine. Conversations that start between tables rarely need a pretext.

We only meant to have one drink...

I hadn't even noticed the courtyard at first. A friend knew about it. The glass roof, the soft lighting... we ordered drinks and found ourselves talking with the people next to us for two hours. I didn't even need an excuse to stay.
