From Thursday, May 28 to Sunday, May 31, Belleville turns into an open trail in which 150 artists welcome the public directly into their studios. Painting, screen printing, sculpture, tattoo work, contemporary embroidery, video, ceramics: the range is huge, and the styles as varied as the venues. You drift from door to door between the 10th, 11th, 19th and 20th arrondissements, guided by a map picked up at the welcome desk or just by feel. Artists are on-site to talk, explain, sometimes sell. A rendezvous that has become a Belleville institution.
