All July, the courtyard of Le 109 becomes an open-air spot, free entry, from 5:30pm to 12:30am, with the locals rather than the seafront tourists. On Thursday, July 30, Twelty run the night with California Love, funk, hip-hop and Brazilian sounds that turn the courtyard into a free-flowing dancefloor. Everyone's standing, everyone circulates, you don't need a booked table. Markets, food trucks and a kids' corner round it out. A better way to spend a summer evening than a packed beach.
