Le Barapapa sets up every summer on the Port de la Râpée: a barge, a 120m² terrace, transats, string lights, Parisian craft beers on tap (Gallia, BapBap), homemade focaccias and a playlist that slides into a dancefloor as the evening goes. No table reservations, so everyone ends up on the same benches by the water. Pétanque and ping-pong on the side, DJ sets after dark. The kind of place where the people around you came for the same simple reason: an afterwork by the Seine that lasts longer than planned.

We both reached for the last focaccia.
There was one focaccia left at the counter and we grabbed for it at the same time. We split it, sat at the same bench, and stayed until they turned the music down. I hadn't planned on talking to anyone that night.
